The Most Common question we get from our clients is “can I buy an isatphone pro satellite phone outright in Australia’?.
The answer is yes you can. Most dealers wont to sell you an isatphone pro satellite phone standalone and this is because they make vast amounts of their income from their airtime contracts. So often the handset is being subsidised by an airtime contract over 12 or 24 months.
But they are available. At isatphonedirect.com.au our philosophy is if we aren’t good enough to get your airtime because we have the best packages well then we never deserved it in the first place, so you are able to buy a new isatphone pro outright online from us.
With or without a contract, but only of Australia’s leading satellite phone specialists.
You see at Isatphonedirect.com.au , Australia’s leading satellite phone online store, we’ve dedicate ourselves to giving you the best prices and more importantly service guaranteed.

However buying the handset is only part of the deal when buying a satellite phone. You can often find them on eBay or online cheaply from places that you don’t know where they’ve come from. They could be stolen or it could be broken. What a lot of people don’t know is that if the phone has been stolen we are able to blacklist it. The Isatphone pro have an IMEI number and an IMEI number allows us as a dealer to blacklist that phone from ever being used if someone put in another SIM card in it. This is a security measure against the handsets being stolen and then used.
So don’t get caught short, buy from a reputable dealer and make sure that you can either get a prepaid contract with a SIM card or an airtime contract that is appropriate to your needs. At isatphonedirect.com.au talk to the experts on one 1300 155 803

Miners in Australia are working in dangerous situations. Due to them being in remote areas miners also need a means of communication from themselves to the outside world. Mobile phones hardly work as it is in the Outback and even. This is where an Inmarsat pre paid satellite phone would come into play. Because the satellite phones rely on satellites in the sky for reception, you don’t need to worry about being around any mobile phone towers.
Miners can rely on their satellite phones for reception no matter where they are around the mine site. This ensures the ability for constant communication at all times and also helps miners feel safer because they know that if there’s ever an emergency they have their satellite phone to call for help.
Choosing A Plan
One of the biggest troubles that people have when signing up for a Inmarsat pre paid sim card for their satellite phone is trying to decide which term will suit them best. There are the standard satellite service plans available but then there are also the pre paid satellite phone plans known as pre paid sim cards which are quite popular.
A lot of the fees are the same between both types of contracts but there are some major differences. For one thing with a pre paid satellite phone plan you’re able to decide how much time you want to have put on the phone and then once you run out that’s it. As a result you’re not running the risk of being surprised with a huge phone bill at the end of the month. It’s easy to get carried away and lose track of charges and fees with a mobile phone never mind a satellite phone. Even with a pre paid satellite phone there are charges every time you make a phone call or send an SMS message.
With a pre paid plan you have the chance to decide upfront how much money you want to spend on the phone for the month and then you just have to expend that time wisely. This is a much more convenient option for many people. A lot of mining businesses stick to the pre paid plans because then the workers have a load off with not having to worry about whether they’ve gone over their limit for the month or not.
Inmarsat offers some fantastic pre paid satellite phone options. They are quite competitive and for a satellite call to somewhere in Australia you will only be charged around $2.00 minute. Whether local or International. The pre paid plans charge .50 cents for national SMS, 50 cents for international SMS,.
Compared to other satellite providers out there, the Inmarsat pre paid satellite phone plans definitely have their advantages.

You can purchase a lot of accessories to go with your Isatphone pro. Docking stations for indoor use are available through Inmarsat’s partner companies. Bluetooth headsets are a main accessory, as the Inmarsat Isatphone Pro is the only satellite phone to have Bluetooth technology. This enables wireless, hands free calls anytime, anywhere. In addition, a solar charger is also available for the handheld device. This is great for emergencies where no power outlet is available. It can also save you a lot of money. The battery for the handset can last for up to eight hours (talk time) and a total of a hundred hours on stand by. It comes with flexible phone book features and smart dialling. The menu is also easier to use, as it is icon-driven.

The dimensions of the global satellite phone are as follows: 170 millimetres in length, 54 millimetres in width, and 39 millimetres in depth (6.7 inches in length, 2.2 inches in width, 1.54 inches in depth). Another variant of the IsatphonePro is also available. It is made especially for government use, because it is more secure. However, no details about this product have been confirmed by Inmarsat.
